A few things I'm proud of
I got this old Road Runner's jacket when I joined the club in 1960. I'm going to use it in my GNRS 2013 display. 1/15/13 Thought better of it. The jacket means too much to me. I don't need to lose it because some jerk decided to steal it at the show. It will stay home safe in my closet.

A few things I'm proud of
I restored this '67 Taco 22 to use as a pit bike at Bonneville. I can no longer ride it after back surgery, so it's off to a new home. Fun while it lasted!

A few things I'm proud of
The first time I took my old RPU to a show, a young artist was there painting show signs for anyone who needed one. I paid him $20 to paint this one. The artist was Manuel Reyes. A few years later Manuel did one of his most famous pieces of work. He was the artist who flamed the California Kid for Pete Chaporus.

May '61 El Mirage program. This was the first, and only, time I ran the roadster at El Mirage.

A few things I'm proud of
Bet engine award from Street Rods Forever Monrovia car show, 9/11/10. This award is special to me because it was presented by Phil Lukens, the current caretaker of Blair's Speed Shop, one of the oldest speed shops in California. Phil said he picked the engine in my roadster because it is just a good old hot rod engine with a Mooneyham blower, dual Holleys, and a dual point Mallory ignition. No modern electronic anything! Coming from Phil, I consider that an extreme compliment.
