Jack's cars
Since Jack retired in February this year, he's been working on this '69 VW Cabriolet. I know, it's not HAMB friendly, but it sure is a blast to cruise around in now that he's moved to San Luis Obispo.

Jack's cars
Banker Bros 32's. Larry Banker built the 4 door and his brother Walt built the 3 window. In early 1961 my Dad bought Larry's sedan for $1295!! It ran a 301" dual quad Chevy and 3 speed trans. When Jack turned 16, the sedan became his ride. If you ever meet my brother, ask him what happened to the car.

Jack's cars
This is the '56 kurtis 1/4 midget that Jack drove to the B modified National Championship in 1957. The car is now owned by John Gunsaulis of Spokane, Washington, and other than the blue lettering, is exactly as it was in 1957! That's the helmet Jack wore in '57 sitting on the car. We met john in Plesanton in August, 09 for a reunion with the car. Jack presented John with the helmet.

Maryann This '31 slant window sedan was my brother Jack's first car. The body was perfect, and the original interior was in great shape. Someone had carved "Maryann" into the stock steering wheel, so we called the car "Maryann". The 4 banger ran great with a Burns 2 carb manifold, and Malory distributor.

Jack's cars
Jack's second car. This '32 Fordor was built in '59 by Larry Banker of Glendora. Dad bought it from Larry in '61 for $1295!!!! Larry bought the original car from an old lady who bought it new. He used a 302" SBC, 3 speed, and Chevy rear end. The car had 30 coats of black lacquer, and a gorgeous wine colored interior by Greg Schifano This car remains one of the nicest 32 sedans I've ever seen.

Jack & Maryann. Jack and his buddies "borrowed the Halibrands off my roadster, and the 37 Chevy headlight air scoop I made for the dual AFB's on my 57 Chevy, for a "photo session". 1963, Jack was 12 years old. Note the requisite surf decals on the quarter window.
