'59 Bird. I bought this Bird after seeing Junior Conway's candy red/pearl white '58. Jim Burrell, who worked for Dean Jefferies, shaved it, molded the scoop, and painted it '63 Vette Satin Silver. Dad and I formed the tube grill. True to my hot rod roots, it was powered by an Ak Miller 390. Was my daily driver for 8 years.

1915 Speedster built in 1985. '27 engine with Model A crank and rods, Egge 8.5 pistons, Jim Culbert aluminum overhead, and Winfield cam. Ruxtell rear end and Studebaker overdrive. 18" 32 Ford rims laced on Buffalo hubs.

147 mph Ranchero. This was our "tow vehicle". It ran a Les Ritchey built 390 with a built Fordomatic. Ran 13.70's at 106 at the drags, 144 at El Mirage, and 147 at Bonneville after towing the race car to the salt in 1961.

56 Sun Roof Bug, built in 1983. 1776cc motor with dual 44 IDA Webers, Engle cam. Daily driver for 5 years. Sold it in Japan for stupid money. Built the Kurtis midget with the money.

Dad's #93, and my #2 at Ascot. I Restored this '48 KK midget in 1987. Chassis # 275. .110 over '39 V8-60 with Clay Smith M3 cam, Offy heads, Edlebrock manifold with two 81's, and a Harmon-Collins mag. Lettered it # 2 as it was the 2nd fastest V8 60 in the WRA. Dad's # 93 was faster. Voted best appearing car at the last Ascot Old Timers night, June 1989.
