Another title defense. This time against Boyd Pennington under the lights at San Gabe. The blue coupe was very busy during the summer of '63. I saw all of Gene and Larry's title races, and though Larry beat Boyd 2 straight, these were close races. When the coupe left the west coast, Boyd wound up holding the #1 spot for a time untils he went top fuel racing.
