A car show in 61 or 1962,made mag in jan CarCraft Jan. 1963, I built two cars from Jr. High and High School,this Henry J full custom and my "A"bucket 28 roadster. On the "J" I was very lucky to get a 57 T-Brid folding top and mated that up,so one of my two cars had some cover from the rain,never did get to making a top for my 28 roadster,but did get bows made but not covered by the time I got a wife in 1965. The "J" was stolden and my roadster I still have some of the parts of,sold off a few parts cus needed $ right after getting a new place and wife. I'm rebuilding my 28 slowly now

      It's long gone an destroid,as it was stolden back in late 1964. My full custom Henry J powered by Olds Rocket 88. Admittily I have thought about building a replacemint{what do we even call that if I did,built it by me the same way I did first time? A clone?by the guy that did,hell by now I would of had to replace or fix nearly every thing anyway ! Only thing stopping me is low $,but time an space I have,parts are around but just out of reach. =A HenryJ,53Studebaker rear window n frame work,58 Ford grill,Corvair front bumber,53 Destoto dash,57 Lincon steering wheel,55 T-bird folding top,60 Chevy hood as a rear trunk,55 Chevy Nomad front seat,Olds Rocket 88 n tranny ,pair 59 Cady tail lites,ect.
      But I still have n drive my 1928 roadster,both were my highschool cars,but the "J" had a top,so best for going on a date. My roadster hotrod was an is cool,but not a date car really. my "J" was in Car Craft Mag. in jan. 1963

      Go to top of; How I built it;;;
      This is not top,but more down post=so run up page;

      My "J" was one of two cars I built my self for high school,first car was a 1928 Ford roadster,bob tailed,powered by Thunderbird V8/it took me 3 years but had in running by 1959 an I started high school in 1960.
      Next was my used $75 "J"in mid 1960; Why is; Turns out I really needed a car that could deal with Miami Florida rain n sun,with roll up windows= The girls did love to go for a ride in my 28 hot rod,and was a super meet an greet**but hot rod was not very good for date night{hot rod blows her hair/no roll up windows, rain happens in Miami,open roadster has little privacy an too small a bench seat for comforts at drive inn movies. The old "J" need seat covers first off,so got a used 55 Chevy Nomad leather black n white front seat from Al's junkyard,an some how a V8 Olds Rocket 88 w autotran fell into it in a month. I kept customizing in any spare time,between other stuff=was a full custom by mid 61. "J" was in Car Craft mag. in Jan, 63,car was stolen Dec. of 64 an never recovered/found out many years later,it was stripped out in a junkyard in Sonora Ga. under two other cars an not worth retrieving.
      I still have my 28 roadster.
