Here are some progress pics.....I really hated how the PO had the front end mounted, so I cut off the perch and silly shock mounts, welded on a new perch, replaced the worn-out front spring, re-did shock mounts, and installed real shocks. I also added a pcv valve and breather so the oil wouldn't blow out of the dipstick, built headers that don't drag on the ground, and added side pipes. I took off the snow tires and added 285/70/15 BFG's on 10" reversed rims. Next is removing the ridiculous panhard bar that was installed so wimpily it's scary and replacing it with a trailing-arm setup to center the rear end housing. I'm getting excited about driving this car when the most glaring safety and performance issues have been addressed.
