There has been much debate recently about how much horsepower a Top Fuel engine produces. In 1986 the McGee's constructed a single cylinder version of their Top Fuel engine for the sole purpose of gathering data on the dyno in blown fuel configuration. A single cylinder engine enabled them to test without having the data corrupted by distribution issues common on all V8 engines.
