This was the first (prototype) Kurtis Kraft 1/4 midget. This picture was taken in Wichita, Kansas in '57. I won the first 1/4 midget national championship in the AA/Open Fuel class with this car at Blakely Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona in December '57. I was 12 years old. Currently owned by Doug Schiller and is in the Justice Bros. racing museum in Duarte, Ca.
