...to life a few moments later, the announcer stating that the Demon had just gone 407 m.p.h. average in the last mile with an exit speed of 417. Sadly, on his return run the next morning, there was a loud POP in his first mile and he pulled off the course. I saw him make a number of equally fast runs, though, so wouldn't be surprised at all if he did set a new record at some point.
