The Flying Cloud in the RV park Marin County. I arrived about 4pm on a Sunday after driving like 10 hours that day and had 2 hours before dark to try and figure out what the hell I had done. Tongue latch frozen, tires deflated, trailer light pig tail cut. Fortunately I came prepared w/ all my tools, an airtank, and a full can of WD-40. Had to make it to Mill Valley before dark since I had no lights. Made it right before dusk and would venture across the Golden Gate Bridge in the morning and spend a couple of days working on her at Bormann Steel. Oh yeah did I tell it was Labor Day Monday when most places were closed, but not the RV Trailer supply parts store that not only had most of what I needed but also gave me a used set of drums w/ the impossible to find rare screw on Airstream dust caps that come off a conversion that they did on an older trailer.....score !!! And like I said as kept motoring back to Texas, I would fix stuff on the way and by the time I hit the Texas border, I felt like I had made the right decision and I really had a honey on my hands.

Just as I found her in the camp ground where she had been sitting for 10 years. The girls I bought it from never towed it or used the kitchen or facilities in it so it was all in great shape inside. Did replumb some of it and put in a new water heater but everything else worked like a charnm once I got it home and plugged her in and checked it out.
