I started wrenchin on old Vespas when I was 14. I was in need for speed since it was an 80 cc that I upgraded to a 210cc over the years. A friend of mine who was running the local scooter shop has been my first contact to old American iron.
I was at his shop trying to find a new crank that could handle 30 Vespa Hp when he towed home his freshly bought ( and completely shot / T-boned) , want to say brandnew 57 Chevy coupe!

I no longer was interested in Vespa cranks but spent the whole evening in the passenger seat of his 57 driving circle after circle in the backyard of his shop.Maybe the circles were donuts...:)
That was the moment when I decided to sell most of my Vespa stuff and get me an old car.
Shortly after that I got my 62 Impala which was some kind of a gift.
That was about 1996.From there on it spiraled downwards. I built and sold 1 or 2 cars a year to finance the next project and worked my way up from there... or down, ...From experience I´d say I´m in full addiction and no cure in sight.
