- '69 Pontiac Custom S, convertable But I'm appreciative of all things vehicle (eccept AMC Pacers, even Pintos get a pass in my book.)
I was born (1963) and raised in Nebraska, with a pencil in my hand (Sorry mom.) We had a red '60 ford wagon and a white '64 corvair in the drive way. Dad raised 10 kids and wasn't mechanically inclined but boy could he draw. 10 kids, most boy, meant lots of cars but the best were those 2 I first recalled and a 1952 Buick convertible that made it's way onto a billboard for Northern natural Gas, via dad's artistic hand through the ad agency heworked with his entire professional career. I started drawing the rear views of Mustangs at the age of 5 and am a self taught auto artist who draws lots of Car culture related things as well.
For 23 years, I worked as an animator, storyboard artist, assistant director and, in 1998-99 as a director on The Simpsons.
In 1999 I changed studios to direct episodes of Futurama, an animated series by the creator of The Simpsons that relied heavily on a vision of the future as dreamed of in the 40's and 50's. Cars, all be it flying cars, were a big part of the scene and I had a hand in designing a good number of them.
I returned to The Simpsons in 2001, after moving back to Nebraska, where I worked from home until the spring of 2012.
I'm currently an independent contractor pursuing his first love, drawing cars... Tell a friend if you like what you see on the HAMB, Friday nights...Interact
