It started with a father that was a sports car mechanic in the early 60's. A ride in a race fresh two seat Lola on a deserted South Dakota farm road for a 12 year old was the first example of raw speed. Then almost 30 years ago and a sight of a real 1940 Ford pickup sitting in a gas station in Smith Nevada with a for sale sign. Found out it was a '41, borrowed the money and two weeks later my still wife and I drove it to the LA Roadsters Father's Day Swap meet. Between then and now held down day jobs and did a little writing and photo work for the car mags. Now the wife and I do land speed racing and make a calendar for the racers.
