- The HEAPS
I've always been into cars - started with 60s cars, had a 62 Impala 409/409, 4-speed, 64 Impala, 66 Impala, then sold all the Impalas and bought a 40 Ford Standard couple, stock drivetrain, etc, just smoothed w/Moon discs. Love at first sight and I've not stopped since. I've had my billet and fancy cars - been there, done that and don't want them again. Had several 40 Ford p-ups, one was owned by Jerry Burger. That really has one rumpety-rump 327 and 3 deuces - a blast to drive but it had to go to make $$ for my 32 roadster build at that time.
I build and advocate traditional styled cars, ones that are driven long distance and stand the test of time. I was on the "40 Is 50 Tour" and the "40 is 60" tour when Art Branum of Mr 40s was alive and organizing them - I drove out from the east coast on the first but had to trailer my stock 40 Ford Std coupe for the second one, then drove the tour with my Dad following. We were good "long distance" friends Art and I - I still use his products from time to time. He is definitely missed.
Presently have a 32 5-window build thread going on the HAMB, with 40 and 28 p-ups to follow. Happy to be here and look forward to being able to contribute when I can.Interact
