Just read the whole thread all I can say is wow what a build.
Hi not sure if any one has tried it but early VW boxes work ok I used one in my a modified with a hand made pitman arm.
Pitman arm and steering arm for cowl steering, all the parts i have made i wanted to look like they were cast

front radius rod mounts, head light monts and hand brake lever and linkages
steering box and radiator cowl mods
the hole saw i modified to drill the holes in the rails for the exhaust pipes and a qiuck tip for drilling holes in rails from one side
speedo 50's buick i think and friction shocks of something
