down-the-road

I had my 55 Customline in storage for much longer than I care to admit. I picked up a 68 Fury III convertible at about the same time and did some body work to get it on the road. It was just a driver, but it was fun! That car is now back in storage after being clipped by someone weaving in and out through traffic. The Customline is moving along slowly now. I have been gathering some parts for it but don't have much time to work on it since I'm out of town for work most of the time. Stopping by cruises and swap meets is providing some inspiration. It's great to find discussions and photos on line so I can feel a little more involved in my project while I am traveling!

Work travels have given me an opportunity to find some needed parts, and to meet some great folks. I brought home most of a 56 Customline for a parts car from one of my work trips to Michigan. Smaller parts came from some great folks I got to meet or talk with in Ohio, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Progress is slower than I would like, but the major issues have been addressed. Some of the parts are even going back together!
