Grew up around Chevy's my Dad raced circle track car's in the 60's, my Grandpa raced old open wheel car's in the 1930's.
I bought my first car a 66-SS Chevy II for $200 (No engine or tranny became my DD year's later) when I was 14 years old and by the time I graduated from High School I acquired ten more different Chevy II's & Nova's 2 & 4 door post, two other Super Sports for part's and a few I fixed up drove & sold.
One of my favorite is the Chevy C10's my first one was a 61 Apache-SWB-SpSide-327/4sp then a 64 C10 I6 3 onTree-SWB-SpSide (totaled when dating my future wife one winter).
Then I bought my best friend Dad's one owner 67 Barracuda Formula-S 383 Commando, triple black. (sold)
I drove my 66 Corvair for a few years and sold it.
Now I'm back to C10's a 63 Custom-I6-3 on the Tree-SWB-FltSide soon to be 327-4sp or TH350 some day, God Willing.
I started out working on bicycles then Lawn Mowers then at 12 years old started working on car's with my Dad pulling engines & trannys that went bad an replacing them with used engines & trannys.
I grew up working on my Uncle Joe's Grape Farm in Lawton with family & our neighbors Asparagus & Grape Farm in Mattawan and several other local Farm's saving money to buy my first car the 66 SS Chevy II that's when I became hooked on Hot Rod's.
