Met up with an army pal back in 1987, who had a LP with starting dragster-sounds on it...I went from there; I had a 1958 chopped Wolsely 1500, a 1954 coupe'd Ford Popular (UK ford), a 1964 T-bird, and a bunch of dailydriven classics. After all these years my plans for my ultimate rod was to be materialized. Every component had to be specific, so the project is allready 4 1/2 years in the making, mainly looking for specific parts. For you US-guys it is relatively simple; but try to find a vintage Sun-tacho overhere...It is all too easy to slap the plasticcard next to the phone and call 1-800-dreamrod or something; I like it when just the simpliest parts have a story of thier own. My engine for example comes from a 1950 Mercury that is now chopped and powered by a 350/350 combo by a guy I know, as well in Holand. I met this guy and complimented him on the car, and asked him if he had a Flathead in it; he said he 'd sold it on to a guy in Belgium and turned out to be the same guy I bought my project from ! Kool or what !
