Have a 41 FORD Super Deluxe Club Coupe that is returned to its late 40's souped up spec. The color is the rare, original Florentine Blue, a 1941 FORD spring / Easter offer.

After some research and tracking of the cars history, I was able to confirm that this car belonged to my Grandpa from 1941 - 49 - I purchased this 41 in May 2012 and began returning the Coupe to the spec my Grandpa outfitted the old girl prior to and after the war. She is an example of a time that was very unique and in many ways extraordinary. I just think the car is my idea of the perfect car with a great personal history. My entire family worked at FORD Motor company and owned FORDs from the T on to present times.

A few of its original soup up parts include Hexagon twin Stromberg 97 set-up, Harmon & Collins dual point distributor, prewar Edelbrock block letter heads, Zephyr gearbox, original Appleton 141 spot, Autolamp fog lamps, Lincoln hood ornament and fender skirts, dual exhaust with Buick exhaust deflectors. The interior is now back to its period mild soup-up look with cognac colored leather upholstry, square weave carpet and 1941 Lincoln Zephyr steering wheel along with chromed Fenton dash inserts.

I plan to put many miles on the clock bombing around Canton/Ann Arbor/ Plymouth areas and taking in cruises with buddies

My other Grandpa owned a Model T that was hot rodded with a Dearborn Police engine,complete with RaJo Cyl heads - he raced that old T up and down Ford road many a day in the mid-30s.

Have been involved in wide spectrum of cars in the hobby from early Mustangs, to British sport cars, including historic road racing ( Mustangs and a MGB that ran SCCA 65-79 ) - now turning my attention to my first interest - suppose it is like coming around full circle - classic FORDs from the 40s and 50s.
