Started in the casting industry when I was 17 as an apprentice pattern maker. When I was 31 I started my own pattern shop/aluminum and zinc foundry, with machining capacity. From there I was dragged into making/finishing the pattern equipment for Genesis of 427 FE infamy, then as 50% owner of Robert Pond Motorsports I mad my own FE block once Genesis had gone bankrupt. After getting frustrated with the Pond co-venture, I sold out my half and started the Cleveland project. About the same time, I hooked up with Snyder's Antique Auto parts and have helped them bring some 20 new parts to market and counting. After learning of the drying up of the A block availability I decided to make my own version. It has been a mostly back-burner project due to a lot of other more pressing (and paying) work.
My 6 years of formal education is unrelated to my job, except for the technical mathematics.
I used to play a lot of guitar, write songs, and have fun with recording my own stuff, but a massive stroke in 2005 has hindered that considerably. So, instead, I fell back on my old family hobby of bowling, for which my dad is in 3 halls of fame. A team I bowl with includes the best amateur in the country and we recently fell just short of setting a national 5 man team scoring record. If only I had my full health, then just maybe!Interact
