A SoCal kid who was inspired by personal contact with hotrod legends. Started on flathead rods at 14 yrs and graduated to restoring 55-57 Tbirds and finally Mercedes 190SL-300SLs.
Had fun cruising all the DIs on the West coast from Oscars in San Diego to the Roundup in Las Vegas. Most fun was talking to Legendary DJ Art Laboe on radio at Scrivners in Hollywood. Most spectacular cars were at Bobs Big Boy in Pasadena and Tiny Naylors, Hollywood; very wealthy kids and George Barris there.
