I was already hooked on cars at age 3. Neighbor's boys were greasers. Other neighbor Larry had a late 40's Ford coupe, watched in amazement as he heated and bent metal. Elderly neighbor had a sweet stock '37 chevy coupe, watched him and his wife leave every Sunday morning for church in it. Built models as a kid. Started reading Rod & Custom, Hot Rod and Street Rodder when I was supposed to be in Junior High study hall.
I've had a few old cars over the years. Nothing fancy. Some were projects, some were drivers. Sold everything a few years back. Lost my wife. Changed my life. Bounced around, drove truck for about 3 years. Now I'm settled living and working on a 40 acre farm owned by Judy, 20 years my senior who also lost her spouse. Pet horses, deer, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks. Dealt with some personal injuries and sickness over the last 3-4 years. Doing better now. Trying to catch up around here and get back on track to build a couple hot rod projects.
