My name is Gavin Meanley, i'm 30 and live in Solihull near Birmingham in the UK. Basically right in the middle of the country. Been around rods and customs for as long as I can remember. Dad always had old motors and I would help him work on them. He also crewed for his mate on a front engined dragster for a number of years and I used to love going to the drags with him. (still love going)
Had loads of british Fords over the years, Anglias, Zephyrs etc. Some were stock others had v8's shoehorned into them.
Always had a passion for traditional rods though and started building a budget 32 roadster but unfortunately didn't finish it. Recently sold my 55 Fairlane 2 door hardtop. Lovely car but a bit too big for British roads! Especially as all my cars are daily's. Just got my 58 consul at the moment it has been 2 doored and hardtopped running a 2.9 v6 and 8 inch rear end.
