I began by running on a dirt track in NASCAR in New Jersey. Moved to Missippi and built street machines. Moved to San Jose California and raced stockers & gassers at Fremont Dragstrip. Teamed up with Joe Davis when Wes Ingrim opted out of the Jewel T to build and run an A Gas Altered. The Jewel T was sold due to Joe's health and the party that bought it took it to the Indy Nationals the following year where it was stolen, tow car, trailer and all, never to be seen again. After that I had a factory ride with Lago Lincoln Mercury in San Francisco, a 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler in Super Stock. In 1971 Ford folded up it's racing sponsorships. Hard to top the Jewel T. A close friend of mine was sponsoring an Indy car driven by Derek Daily and I used to team with the crew but that become the the end of my racing.
