- Old Farts Racing Team #32, and the San Berdoo Roadsters (the associate member)
Over my parents strong objections, I fell in with a bad bunch of tinkerers at an early age (modified bicycles and outlaw soapbox derby cars), and I'm proud to be a hotrodder today. I can also say that I've never owned a street rod.
I rode a Greyhound 100 miles to the first car show I ever attended (and boy, was he ever tired). It was the Portland Roadster Show, in the early 1960's, and that's where I first saw Bob Tindle's Orange Crate. That car made a huge impression on me. I still love it today, even if it is over-restored (I mean, what's up with those flames?).
For fun? - driving the push truck for the San Berdoo Roadsters' #3076 C Street Roadster which set a 2008 Bonneville Speed Week record at 210.288 mph, and the current El Mirage record at 193.930 mph May 2009.Interact
