When I was a kid growing up in eastern Canada, my brother's friend Bill was hot-rodding a 1947 Chev coupe in his back yard...everything home made (dechromed, painted blue, moon-style wheel discs, upholstery dyed white, engine rebuilt). I hung out in his yard every day. My first car was a 1957 Ford Fairlane mild-custom, followed by a couple of custom painted Triumph motorcycles, then a 1967 Mustang convertible, 1962 Pontiac, 1964 Pontiac, 1970 Acadian (Canadian Nova), 1964 Olds Cutlass, 1964 Buick Riviera, 1967 GTO convertible, 1967 Chevy II drag car, 1973 and 1974 Chev pickups, 1979 Malibu (shipped to Australia in 2006).
Always been a "car-nut", I have limited mechanical skills and no body-work ability. I have helped run a drag strip in eastern Canada, worked with the track crew at a major track in western Canada, drag raced for fun and friendship.
Moved from western Canada to Australia in 2003 (after meeting an Aussie woman who stole my heart).
