I am in my early 60's and have been into hot rods since I was 10 years old. My Dad had a speed shop/repair shop/hot rod shop in Denver, Colo. for many years. Dad owned and raced midgets 1948 through 1963. My first car at age 10 was a 1926 T coupe. It was all stock except for a Ruckstell 2 speed rear end, dual Tillotson carbs and a one off Rajo high compression head (daily driver). This car was followed by 1932 ford coupe chopped and channeled with Merc. flatty with 8 Stromberg 97's on a hand built intake. Drove this car to high school every day and raced it every weekend. Went 96 mph in 1962 on pump gas at the local drag strip (CDR). Dad and I built many cars up to the time he died in 1963. I drove one of the first R.E. econo dragsters in Colorado. This car was AHRA, A/ED and C/ED World E.T./Speed Record holding car. Wrenched on the AA/Fuel funny car (Hells Cargo), owned by Doug Jordan and Ernie Spickler. This was the first Jolly Rancher Candy sponsored race car, later this sponsorship went to John Force. In 2001 built a 1923 "T" bodied, funny car chassied, BB/Altered big block chevy named "The Hairy Canary". Currently own G & M Motorsports, Pflugerville ,Texas (hobby hot rod/ race car shop) Currently driving/building a 1948 Anglia Nostalgia Gasser. also working on 1928 Model A Coupe, chopped and channeled "Old School" hot rod. Waiting to retire from the real world and start enjoying my car passion full time. Hope to never grow up!!Interact
