The Igniters of Santa Clara 'adopted' me at age 12, 1954. The Great Ritchie Mignano taught me how to weld, and I chopped my '36 3-window 5-1/4", age 13. ($15 car) Built a roadster from a '30 body from a field, and a $5 '32 frame from Joe Oliver, an older rodder. He also sold me a '32 rear end for another $5, and I channelled the body with hacksaw blades.
Flathead was donated by an older Racer, all I had to do was fix it. Built a few hot rods for friends, they bought tools, gave 'em to me for the labor.Interact
