My dad used to take me to Niagara Dragstrip when Iwas a little kid. I was particularly fond of the gassers. Having grown up watching guys like Oddy, Zakia, Drake, Lazzar and Gaston race...the hook was set. I met John Cassiol who has the Oddy Austin and was told about the Gasser Gang. While attending the first Gasser Reunion in Thompson Ohio, I met Jeff Cryan. Jeff owns the Ron Bizio '33 Wiilys p/u gasser originally built by Chuck Finders. Jeff had an old Austin gasser, originally one of the Bad Boys cars, built and raced in the Chicago area. I purchased this car and joined the Gasser Gang. I'm currently gathering parts to build the Austin into a aa/g car to compete in Jim Oddy's aa/g shootout.
