I am the second pinstriper/artist/custom painter to follow after Kenny "Von Dutch" Howard in 1954, but I actually flip a coin to see if Dean Jeffries was second and I'm third. It's really hard to tell as we met at Dutch at Barris' shop in 1954.

I have been mentor to many well known artists who have never given credit to their mentors or helpers. I have always worked under the radar as I've never sought notoriety as some have, even after they learned from me.
