Grew up in the 50's when the neighborhood guys bought $20 Fords and Chevys and "souped" or "hopped" them up. The real men (16 to 18 years old) rode BSA's and Triumphs. I had a black 55 Cushman Eagle, first year with telescope forks, and hopped it up with a bore and oversize valves. Graduated to a 59 Impala hardtop coupe, 348 tri-power, 4 speed and posi-traction.
