Boca Rat

I've been restoring cars since I was 15,now 47, always loved rods but being trained by an old ford guru, I always did originals. had my collection of 20 years wiped out by 12 year olds w/bb guns(lost it all). havent touched a car in 10 yrs, moved to Boca,Fl from upstate NY, was in clubs and a senior judge there for years(OCAA Rinebeck show) . Starting over, trying a hot rod this time. Looking to join local clubs to make friends, meet-ups, cruizes, fun, etc. etc. Best ride ever: 1963 Chrysler 300G got it up to 157 on a straight-a-way, the hood looked like ripples on an ocean, slowed down real quick! loved that dash!, Worst ride ever bringing home a 35 Ford Panel Delivery truck down a 3 mile 1000 ft mountian w/hairpin turns and Mechanical Brakes.(wasted some shoes and ruined some pants that day! ) Best trade: Rusted out running vw for a six pack of beer, Worst trade: lost a 41 Dodge 3 window to a 63 GT hawk (I wanted a car mom could drive, turns out the frame was rotted thru.(live and learn!) The one I got now was built by Rube Goldberg, it's gonna be my daily driver, Here in Boca they want status cars, to me this is one! Please write to me if your local and would like to get togeather..
