my Dad was a hot rodder/fabricator all his life, i grew-up around his t-bird powered 54 mainline,FE gasser falcon,271hp comet,etc. in 67 he started building buggies and had a vw shop for 30 yrs. that's where i learned to build. in highschool i had a 62 beetle that ran 13.30@96. even though i'm into vw's as well as Fords, they've always been influenced by early hot rods;lowered,dechromed,chromies,w/emphasis on speed over beauty(no gold-chain-trophy-hunters here!)..so now I also drive my primered,ww on reds customline and working to get the f-1 on the road. also have a 30's rolling frame and a few flatheads that i hope to turn into something one of these days
