About
In the 1970's I owned Owairaka Autos, where we built Robbie Franicevic's "Custaxie" for Glen & peter Urghart (Coventry Motors owners) with Tony Kriletich and the rest of the gang - and we later rebuilt Jack Naser's BreadVan Angila for Robbie to drive, this after Jack had rolled it (Levin?) and his wife would not let him drive any more. We also built and sponsored the A40 Farina for Brian Marshall, who worked for me at that time.
Many great racing stories from that time (including ones involving Jimmy Clark and Jackie Stewart - as we were official tow crew for Jimmy Clark's Lotus') - and it is also I who is standing at the right front of the Custaxie in Steve's thumb-nail photo on your website. And, in fact, I believe that could, possibly, be Jack Nazer's Anglia parked next door to the Custaxie in that same photo.Interact
