29 Coupe (Zipper) Under Construction, Previous Builds - 56 Chevy 210, 57 Chevy Big Window Truck
    Dallas Area Classis Chevys
As a kid I grew up around dirt stock car racing watching family members drive and do everything to keep a car together. I lived for weekends to go racing and was always depressed if it rained. Rain and dirt tracks, not a good combo for the race fan. I shutter to think at the number of 55-57 Chevy's we cut up in those days.

In 2001 I finally bought my first "project". I purchased a Chevy 210 2 door post and began work on the car. I redid al the electrical, most of the driveline and lots of other items. It was a great car that I later sold to start a truck project.

I purchased a 57 Big Windows Truck from AZ which was completely rust free and began work on in back in 2006. The truck was finished on the outside but needed a driveline and some updates on the interior. Got the truck running and did lots of other work to get it ready for casual shows and just driving around. The truck had a 454 big block, full Camaro suspension in front, and Ford 9" with four link/coil over setup in the back. It was a handful to drive. But put a smile on your face when you got on it.

I sold the truck and decided to go racing for a while. The circumstances finally came along that made some sense to finally get it off my list of things I wanted to do. Still racing just don't have the bills that go with the car every week.

After selling the race car I wanted to do a more traditional street rod project. My other goal is to build from the ground up and not start with a "donor" vehicle. So the build of the 29 Coupe will be my first full blown build. Lots of plans that will take time I am sure. But the build is the part I like most.
