When I first started teaching in the early 70's I would pick up my wife at her school 1 mile away from my building . The husband of one of her colleagues would pick up his wife in a 57 Olds with a J2 setup . This guy and I became friends and he kindled an interest of mine in old cars . I got hooked and got into the hobby first with a 56 Chrysler New Yorker with a 354 Hemi . The 58 Buick Roadmaster came next . It is a beautiful boat with no pickup out of its flightpitch trans . I recently acquired the 59 Dodge and I am in the process of getting it road worthy . The best part of thr hobby is the helpful knowledgeable individuals that you come across .
