Lifted 79 Ford Bronco dressed to kill in a real nice semi-gloss, and one 86 Monte Carlo SS with my own iron oxide-progressive body lightening technology.
none, but looking for a club that will allow a post 65 rod done in true backyard style.
Well i'm me. I don't really know how i got into hot rods and customs, I've always gone to car shows/ drags/ circle tracks/ cruise-ins/ swap meets even before i was old enough to realize what they were. I guess you can lay the blame on my grandfather who used to race at a little po-dunk dirt track in the middle of nowhere called Bowling green speedway. My father cut the racing heritage in my family but as hard as i try to bring it back, the money eludes me. I'll be the first to admit i don't know a whole lot on the building side of the automotive world but if you need one painted or thrown around some windy assed dirt road, i could show you a thing or two.
Presently i work at a large plant painting tanks. And i'm not talking about water or propane. I paint the hardcore killing machines they send to some desolate sand box. i don't really like it there because they are less concerned with quallity and more about quantity. But still it gets the bills paid. Quite well I might add.
Most people i know consider me a redneck but i don't see it. I guess it's because I drive a big truck. I only drive it cause it cost me 700 bucks. A good friend of mine helped me build it in his back yard. Now granted what started as a harmless get it on the road and beat the shit out of it in a month turned into a two year "while we're at it" complete resto/ custom build. We yanked the powerplant and figured: "While it's out might as well paint the engine bay, Might as well fix the rust, Now we've gotta paint it, Might as well paint the interior too. Shit why stop now.....". It's affectionatly nicknamed "Snowball". Damn thing's still not done.
I really enjoy photography, though i haven't shot anything lately. I shoot different shows and landscpapes. Shit i've even got a wedding under my belt, probably should've charged for it but i just like to take pictures. Only one of my pictures has won anything. Second place at the prestigious York Fair. But i guess if i wanted more awards i would enter them in another contest.
Well i'm finding myself with nothing else to say so if you want you can check out some of my shots at Myspace.com/ckel13 the automotive pics are on the front of the page and not inside the albums. I had somebody taking them and using them elsewhere, which i don't realy give a shit about. I would just like the credit for the shots.
