I was taking machines apart when I was in diapers (and gettin' my butt beaten raw for doing it.) At age fourteen my first car was a '48 Ford that needed a transmission. I fixed, turned it into more cash than I'd started with, and bought a Forty Ford Coupe with a hot flathead. I've gone through a pile of stuff, since then, and still pine for my sweet little Forty. I intend to build a clone of it when I get the cross hairs lined up. No matter what, I always have a project going and have my own 'hobby shop' where I work everyday on something rod related. (I spent 25 years in Southern California, part of the time hanging out with some real talented car builders. My guru was an 'old school' genius. I like traditional hot rods. That's one reason I'm trying to figure out this site. I know there's still some tin left out there and I'm willing to deal to get some. I'd rather trade than pay cash.
