- One "hot rod" type muscle car, a 1962 Dodge Dart, the plain one with the post between the front and rear windows. Arctic White with red interior, no power steering or brakes.
- None but friends and myself taking our cars to a few local car shows and criuse around.
I grew up in the best time this country has ever seen for "Muscle Cars' which I believe started even earlier than the first GTO (the first "concept car") and even before the '62 cars when Pontiac had the Super Duty cars, Ford had a few tricks up their sleeves and Mopar got the '62 Max Wedge cars after them and while the Max Wedge cars got beaten on circle tracks or anything but a dragstrip, where they completely ruled for years and the NHRA had to change the rules so Mopars couldn't win, they were factored out of the winning circle and Ford and GM had their day in the winners circle. The rules were so bad some Mopar NASCAR quit in disgust and NASCAR and the NHRA finally got the factoring down now that the NHRA runs basically three classes, one is bikes and the other three are top fuel, top funny car and top Pro Stock. The Pro Stock cars are now at 6.40's or maybe better now, that was two months ago. They are faster and quicker than the old "slingshot" dragsters were by far, we didn't know if a dragster could get through a sub-seven second quarter mile. They did it, but the price was high in all catagories but racing was always an expensive sport.Interact
