I've been into fast cars most of my life, and now that I'm older and have slowed down, a bit am interested in jalopies (old iron).
I currently do not have a jalopy, but want to build an old '30's Ford or Chevy in a hardcore-old style fashion, with a Chrysler Firedome or Nailhead Buick for power. And it will be painted with a brush in nitrocellulose lacquer, to be sure.
To me, a true old-time car should be built like an old-time car, not with an engine and tranny combo from the 1970's and later. Those belong in musclecars, pickup trucks and taxicabs. I'm not trying to upset anyone, it's just that I feel a 50-60's era rod should be built like they were in the '50's and '60's.Interact
