My dad raced jalopies before I was born, and after. My brothers and I went to nearly all the races, when we were growing up. At 16, I got to race in the "Powder Puff Derby". As an adult, I would take my '70 Torino, 351 Cleveland (4 barrel carb) to a local track and race. I would strap my kids in the back seat. Now a days that would be considered abuse/negligance/etc. But, I never went home without at least a 3rd place.
