Bought my first running car at 16. It was a 53 Chevy Belair HT that cost $50.00. I tried to buy a 37 Ford coupe w/406 and 4-speed for $75.00 when I was 12, but my parent would have none of it. I have loved cars and bikes sinse I was 5. I worked in Art Morrison's race car shop (just built race cars, not parts then) in 82-83 and have been doing it on my own sinse. I had my first of several straight axle cars in the 70's and 80's. They were a 55, 56 Chevy, 51 Austin gasser and a 48 Angia gasser. I have built many super gas class champion cars and door slammers as well as many pro streeters. I have in the last few years built several axle cars for others, one of which has been in the mags.....a 54 Chevy Belair HT. I have a 37 Chevy coupe that I am going to build as an early 60's gasser and want to install a 392 (when I find one) and a Turbo 400/trany brake and a Dana 60 RE. I build all of my own frames, ladder bars, roll bars and do all the interior tin work, so I just need parts to continue. My cousin Bill Andreas from Spokane WA. in the 60's held the track record at Deer park in a 41 Chevy gasser and was featured in the a 67 issue of Car Craft Mag.....so it's in my blood still at the age of 55. I still race vintage Motocross and won a season Champ. 3 years ago on a 1973 400 CZ I bought new. I have raced mini stocks and also won a season Champ. in outlaw open class dirt track go carts.
