I work an Aluminum Foundry and CNC shop, Phillips Patterns & Castings, started back in 1947 by my grandfather hand carving patterns in a chicken coupe, i teaching myself everything i need to know to make anything i want, i take tremendous pride in my work and im 21 years old.
I've worked in the foundry since i was 15 and been around muscle cars my whole life, been on wheels since i was 3 and had to listen to my dad's 'back when i was XX i had a XXXX' stories my entire life. At our foundry we focus on high quality, American made parts and are slowly building our own product line of after-market parts. Our target is hotrodders and keeping American production in it, remaking vintage parts you cant find anymore, did i say American made? You can check out our company at DiamondP.com
Foundry:
Since I've started here back when i was 15 i have have poured green sand, air set, shell core, permanent and ran die-cast machines. I've prepped, gated, cored patterns, molded, squeezed, knocked out air-set, green sand, and shell core. I'v ran CNC mills, grinded, finished, and knocked out parts. I'v taught myself how to designed parts on CAD, read and somwhat understand Fanuc G-code for CNC but i can't write what so ever. Printed parts through our 3D printer for pattern making and prototyping, reworked the parts to be usable in molds, patterns, masters, cores, in green sand and air-set. I'v ran and worked on every machine in our foundry and CNC shop.
I currently am a sales rep for DiamondP Industries/retail for over 240+ auto companies through DiamondP and Phillips Patterns, i do graphic and web design for our companies and handle our marketing and advertisement. I also race our SuperPro 71' Camaro at our local drag strip. Also dirt and asphalt races when the cars are in running condition
Cars:
As for cars i'm currently drive a 70 duster in the summer and 93 s10(4.6 though) beater for the winter, im putting the money together for buying a 50-53 ford pickup and either turning it into a blown sbc or sbm chop top hotrod.Interact
