I had a stock Model A sedan for 10 years before I sold it and bought the Deuce 26 years ago. I've been driving it and changing it little by little ever since. It's an original frame, boxed. Drop front axle that I polished in the basement and had chromed. 4 bar front suspension was just getting popular when I got the car. The front brakes are old Wilwoods. They hadn't been out very long back then. The rear is an 8" Ford. The body is from Wescot. The engine is a SBC. There was one in it when I got it, and I didn't figure I would change it just to be different. It always ran; there were always parts available; it was simple and I knew what everything did; it had lots of power; remember the line, if it works, don't fix it. I never had a lot of money to spend on it so it's taken a long time to get it the way it is. Certainly no trailer queen/show car. I just like to drive it and listen to the exhaust. Night time is the best. That hot sun in an open car is tough. Yea, I know, lots of bugs at night, but I can clean it. I'm still trying to stop the leaks. They come and go. I guess that's it.Interact
