I was 15 in 1966 when my dad died. There was a guy across the street from us who had 5 kids and very little to give but he gave me a lot. I sorta adoped him as my dad and his oldest son Mike as my brother. He was a drag racer and at the time had a 1965 Plymouth with a 426 Hemi. He made me a MOPAR man. He held some records in Maryland for racing and is now in the Drag Racing Hall Of Fame. His name is Tom "Smoker" Smith and I owe him for helping me become the man I am today.
