My Father John Howard had many rods when I was growing up in San Diego. One of them was the Sal Macchia and Louis Bantos Track T Roadster. I remember the carb catching on fire so he pulled up into the driveway and put the fire out with a pair of Levi's that was drying on the clothes line. He grew up with Dave Schnieder and Paul Shieffer,. My uncle Frank Howard used to be the mechanic for Dutch Hurds Quarter Midget which is at the Justice Bros Museum now. He used to race at Balboa Stadium in the old days. I have always wanted to build this roadster and now i'm ready to do so.
