My wife and I got in to customs in '97 when a friend was getting a shoe box bagged in Grandbury, TX by an old school hotrodder-Bob Warrener. Our friend told my wife she should buy Bob's '53 Mercury custom Bob had for sale, so we agreed, and so she did. About the same time, I bought a custom '46 Ford Truck which was sold a few years later. I then wanted to buy a '54 Mercury but had a tough time finding one so I came across a solid '53 Mercury Monterey in Chicago. I flew up there on a Friday and drove her home by Saturday evening. My Mercury has been updated with fresh engine, frenched tail lights, wide whites, lowered, and striped by Chris from Axis Tattoo. All mechanics have been done by Mercury Charlie and Crushproof. We just built a hotrod garage to warehouse and work on all future projects.
