- 1932 3/W Deluxe Coupe
- Westchester Street Rod Assoc.
I got into hot rods by tagging along with my brothers and friends who were a few years ahead of me with their cars and stuff. I was a real fortunate kid to be going to all of these famous places when my friends back home only talked about it! Hit all the local East Coast drag strips Dover NY, Westhampton, Long Island, Charleston RI, Conn. Dragway, Montgomery Airport, NY, Orange, MA. I was there at the first NHRA Nationals opening day in Indy in 1961, and for many years afterwards. One day back in 1956 my brother came home with the coupe I now own and drive. Paid a whole $20 for it! When my bro. went off to the service and got married, I began what has begun the relationship in my life..."the Coupe". During my high school years in Stamford CT it was powered by a '57 Nailhead, '38 Roadmaster tranny and banjo rear. There are many many twists and turns and iterations along the way, but she's still going strong now with 215,000+ miles on the S-W speedo since '72. Turned a best 12.67 at the drags with a SB Chevy, TH 400 and '64 Vette rear, mostly throughout the 1980s. I could go on...Interact
