I'm a dually licensed mechanic; in the truck and coach field as well as the automotive field for the past 40 years and have taught in the field for 10+ years.
I've restored a 1957 Chev 1/2T and converted to a 4X4; built a 1984 Chev 1/2T p/u truck which was a salvageable roll-over; restored a 1970 C10 p/u truck totally original with its inline 6cylinder engine, 3-speed manual transmission, and 2-wheel drive, also built up a 1973 Cuda with a '69-70 340cu.in. engine with pistol grip 4-speed manual which was sold when our first child was born.
Now, with experience in the diesel trade I'd love to build, and restore, fabricate and redo, a Diamond "T" 201 or possibly heavier, about the
'46-48 vintage withnthenheadlights semi-mounted in/on the front fenders, install late model diesel, with AT or manual trans., 4X4, total air suspension system on front and rear, to incorporate a 5th wheel to tow our RV trailer across Canada, United States, and beyond.
Any direction, suggestions, or,the location of a beautifully pointed DIAMOND ""T"" 1/2Ton or 3/4Ton pickup truck would be greatly appreciated. As you can follow, it's body must be in the best condition as possible to provide good lines to work with, the power train will be switched out, most probably with a rolling chassis for the power train of my choice when the time presents itself.
Thank you for your kind consideration and assistance in the locating of my next dream machine. It has been in the works and thought process for a few years, and now the time has finally arrived, my four children have completed their post-secondary education and moved on with their lives outside of our home, yes we are empty-Nestor's and enjoying it immensely. We're also enjoying our grandchildren equally as much or, should I say even more. Thhx, cheers,,,,,,,,,hoggin' boss.
