hot_rod_bones

i have always liked to be around cars and car shows. my dad was into vw's and i would sit in the garage and hand him metric tools all night long. as i got older i got more into the cruisin night shows. started to think i would own a hot rod/ street rod one day. after my divorce i decided to go to school for myself. went to Hot Rod Institute. took a chassis class, engine rebuilding, and sheetmetal class. while i was there my interest went back to a vw. built a freak of a car. a mid engine chevy vortec in a vw karman ghia, turned into a true roadster then for added insult i added a pair of 57 caddy tail fins to the sheetmetal. moved back to hometown and the vw got put under a tarp until i can figure out the mechanics, basically i got bored with it, working on it every day 8 hours a day for 9 solid months. picked up a 34 dodge 4 door. fell in love with a diesel engine, but not any a 5.9l turbo diesel cummings. so thats my current project. as soon as i return from afghanistan i will start a build thread until a moderator shuts me down for not being traditional enough. but i hope not, i envision it as a traditional rod.
